1.  Snacking is always a bad idea? False, snacking isn't always as bad as you might think. It actually helps you eat less. When your feeling the crave as your stomach starts rumbling you try pushing your self not to eat anything, but to make your body relax a small healthy snack could do the job. Snacking can be bad yes, but snacking only has that bad reputation because when we first think of snacks is when we are eating something unhealthy such as bags of chips, and a lot of other things.

2.  Fast Foods will ruin your diet? Again false, fast food doesn't 100% ruin your diet it's more of what choices of food that the customer would choose from. When buying from a fast food restaurant choose foods that are baked or grilled then fried. Get soft drinks that are diet and get a salad instead of that large fry. You can eat at fast food restaurants without ruining your diet and this can be helpful for a lot of people which gives most the ability to learn how to watch what they eat and understand what some foods can do to you. This can be helpful in both ways.

3.  Carbs are horrible? False, carbs aren't horrible. It's the carbs that contain a lot of sugar that is the killer. Try getting whole grain foods, I've written an article on losing weight fast which explains how carbs can do some good.

4.  Certain Foods help you lose weight? False, eating foods are just calories building up. No foods can help you lose weight, it can sure increase your metabolism, but the amount will be to low to actually help you lose weight. Weight Building would be a better choice if you plan on doing this.

5.  Fad Diets give permanent weight loss No fad diets do not give a permanent weight loss. Fad diets will keep a bit of weight off but it certainly doesn't help you keep losing weight permanently. Plus people get tired of them and that's why fad diets are hard to stick with.

6.  Starches should be limited when losing weight Many foods which contain high starch such as bread, rice, pasta and etc.. contains low calories. Only time one should limit starches is when your eating them in large portions and covering them in toppings.

7.  Skipping meals helps lose weight Who ever told you this was a great method should jump off a bridge because that's basically what your going to do if you keep skipping meals is kill your self from starvation.

8.  Red meats are bad for your health Red meat can help you in a weight loss plan that you could make since foods such as chicken, pork and fish contains cholesterol and saturated fats. They also contain good nutrients like protien, iron and zinc. It's best to choose meats that are lower in fat such as fish.

9.  Dairy products are unhealthy Yes some dairy products can be unhealthy like non fat free milk, but that's not much. Items such as cheese, yogurt and fat free milk are lower in fat and calories. Dairy products main goal is to help build muscle in your body and we all need muscles.

10.  Gaining weight means your getting older Now we all know gaining weight doesn't mean your getting older. It means your getting lazier in keeping your self in shape. Most likely gaining weight can be at young ages to old ages any age you can gain or lose. Don't allow someone to tell you this myth its just rubbish.
